Why Your Family Should Move to Connecticut…

Connecticut, one of the smallest but also wealthiest States in the US, sits on the east coast directly north of New York City and east of New York State.  To the north is Massachusetts and Boston, creating a megalopolis with Philadelphia that is unmatched anywhere else in the world.  To live anywhere in Connecticut is to have access to some of the biggest, brightest cities on the planet, including the Big Apple. It is also known for its ‘small town feel’ in spite of this fact.

If you’re work requires you to commute to New York or Boston, moving to Connecticut is an excellent choice as a new home.  The state is highly developed, topping the recent Human Development Index list as the best city in health, education and income. Many large companies make their home in Connecticut, including Xerox, Clairol and our personal favorite Pepperidge Farm.

The proximity to New York, even if you don’t go into the city regularly, still opensmoving truck and packing supplies up a world of opportunities for culture, sports and entertainment.  Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore are within a half-day’s drive too. (Of course we also have some great beaches of our own.)  Boston is just to the north and offers even more of the same, meaning that there’s never a dull day, and plenty of close cities to explore.

If you’re into winter sports, this is the place to be once Jack Frost hits town.  The Pocono’s in New Jersey / New York and the proximity to Vermont makes us a veritable winter paradise.  Go snowboarding, snowmobiling, or ice fishing, all within a short drive.  Plus the way she looks come the Holidays is something out of a picture postcard.

If you’re considering a move to the east coast there are few states better than Connecticut.  Education, opportunity and a great lifestyle await anyone who comes as well as some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet.
